After immigrating to the UK in 2001 to Newcastle Upon Tyne from the lovely NY city, PREFAB have an awesome rage against the machine mentality that we love.
They describe their work as -
PREFAB imagery always has a British slant, a satire on modern British living, rebelling against the establishment, celebrating/mourning the passing of our great institutions, poking fun of the characters we come across in our streets, each print tells a story of modern Britain.
PREFAB’s art is a combination of stencil and print, both techniques used flawlessly to create some awesome work. Their latest masterpiece is a 30 foot high goddess on the side of, what looks to be, a pub.
I look forward to seeing more from PREFAB in the future and I hope we can see more work as big as this.
