Monday, December 15th, 2008

Concrete Canvas are looking to bring in some new writing talent to the site to express their personal views on the street art scene and what’s impressing them. We will be trying to involve some big name street artists and some smaller ones. We’ll also be bringing the community on board from our forum.

First guest blogger is Stephen Ball, an active member of our forum. Stephen is a very talented artist who really has a very unique canvas artwork style.

If you would like to be a guest blogger on the website please get in touch via our contact page.

Street Art City Guides

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

Each city has it’s graffiti and street art merits. Some cities have next to no street art while others are completely filled with it. Certain styles are associated with certain cities and no two cities will ever have the same street art atmosphere. Concrete Canvas is launching a new series of posts looking at cities around the world and what they have to offer artists and why they deserve a visit.

Unfortunately the bank balance won’t allow the Concrete Canvas team to visit city after city exploring the beauty in the concrete jungles so we are looking for a few guest bloggers to tell us why their cities are worth an exploration.

If you’d like to tell us about your cities please get in touch via our contact page or the forum.

We kick off the Street Art Atlas guides later this week by checking out Bristol - possibly the UK’s greatest street art city.

Half Price SNUB

Friday, December 12th, 2008

I don’t usually like posting about artists’ inside ‘profit’ works e.g. prints and canvases that are for sale, but this time I have to make an exception.

SNUB23, a tremendous UK street artist, has slashed the price of his latest screen print from a generous £60 to an even lovelier £30. His generosity will only be short lived as the print will be removed after Xmas. The print was only limited to 50 pieces so be quick!

Get it here while you still can.
